Now it meanders through the Pleisbach valley at the foot of the Siebengebirge mountains, once again in a natural state. It flows into the Sieg at Niederpleis. Meadows and alluvial forests alternate along the stream. Rare bird species such as the kingfisher, the dipper and the little owl return. Sometimes you can hear the yellow-bellied toad. The fact that the ICE railway line runs underground through the middle of the Pleisbach valley is only revealed to visitors by an information board.
Like the Birlinghover Forest, the Pleisbach Valley is also easily accessible for hikers.
