The intergenerational course is located directly on the "link" of the Green C within the "Zentrum West", which has been under construction since the mid-1990s. Covering an area of over 3,000 square meters, it complements the existing facilities of the sports and activity axis - municipal outdoor pool, skate park, sculptural play elements.

When developing the equipment, particular attention was paid to the needs of older people or people with limited mobility. The course is designed to train coordination and a sense of balance - with a view to preventing falls, for example. Some of the equipment is also used for individual strength and endurance training.
In addition to senior citizens and residents from the nearby residential and care facilities, sports clubs, schools, universities, recreational athletes and families will also benefit from the new opportunities.
